Project Approach
WVA will identify project requirements at an early stage and point out long-lead approvals that city agencies may require. We will address “gray areas” in the initial stages, setting up meetings with key Building Department personnel if required. We regularly obtain written determinations and clarifications of applicable laws, prior to filing. We make all attempts to clarify such issues before they are raised by Building Department Examiners. We meet regularly with the Borough Commissioners and partake in industry meetings at the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB). We have a team that focuses on ever-changing City requirements that can impact any of our projects.
